The Package, a current 11-2 favourite for the William Hill Trophy Handicap Chase could cost the bookmaker a small fortune if the horse wins.

Opening at at 14-1 with Hills, The Package has since gathered support for the race which takes place during next week’s Cheltenham Festival.

“If The Package lands the ante-post gamble, it will be a six-figure loser for us and we only expect it to get worse on the day.

“With him being a novice and fitting in with a lot of recent trends, he ticks a lot of boxes and he will be our worst handicap result of the week if he wins. I can’t see anything else other than him going off favourite.”

The Package is one of 55 horses still in the running following Wednesday’s 6-day-stage.
